Went to listen to Alex Mathias jazz quartet performed in the International Bar on 23 Wicklow Street. The quartet is comprised of talented musicians:

1. Dan Bodwell (Bass)


2. Johnny Taylor (Piano)


3. Tommy Gray (Drums)


4. Alex Mathias (Sax)

The first question I asked myself during their performance was - "Why would such professional band play jazz in a such tiny (but cosy anyway) premises? This high quality sound, virtuosity, talent and jazz passion should sound loudly somewhere where hundreds of people could get in".

Generally speaking, my expectations were fully met and moreover I was really excited.
The International Bar along with Alex Mathias welcomes all jazz fans every Tuesday (Alex Mathias Trio) and every Thursday (Alex Mathias Quartet) at 9 pm.

One of the projects I participated in during my Masters program in DCU was Google Online Marketing Challenge. It was a marketing competition. Using Google AdWords as a advertising tool for three weeks we had to come up with advertising strategy and campaign for the website which has never used Google AdWords before.
Then during those three main duties were to create catchy ads, find best keywords and update them during the campaign, find relevant landing pages, give recommendations about SEO, bids optimization, quality score monitoring, page rank increase and etc.
As a result I received a confirmation of a STRONG CAMPAIGN from Google. :)

Masters in Ecommerce

Last Friday was my last day in DCU. Finally I got my Masters Degree. Practicum's report was successfully binded and stored in the DCU Library for future generations :)

This year was full of events, seminars, lectures, individual projects, interviews, exams... I met many new people and some of them became my good friends. Feel a bit sorry that everything is finished. However, it's time to move on. Next step is job hunting! :)

PHP, MySQL, CSS...

Working hard on my DCU practicum project. I am responsible for technical/web programming stuff. I should say it is quite challenging as I have no that much of experience in creating websites using PHP and MySql. However, it is very fascinating!
Some new trends in web programming are explored:

• CSS 3
or
• differences between HTML 5 and HTML 4

Sometimes I think I should have become a web programmer as you can always see the instant result of your work and also because a language of figures is so precise and straightforward.

It took me about 2 hours to come up with the domain name for this blog :) Hundreds of words were tried, but all were taken...
